My name is Amanda Murphy.

I am an engineer, a creative, an academic. I explore the relationship between computation, cognition, and the physical.

Hi, I'm Amanda. I enjoy running, animating, filmmaking, and physics. I'm currently a student at UChicago, and I'll be working in defense tech with IBM in a few months. From a young age, I've had the incredible fortune of being surrounded by people with wonder. My experiences travelling and learning alongside them have instilled in me a sense of adventure, excitement, and hunger that I value in my life to this day.

I'm passionate to share the excitement and wonder I have. I seize every opportunity to do or learn something new, alone or with others.

I am fascinated with creative computation. Every experience I (and anyone) have in life is an artistic one, with a setting and a design and an architecture to it. I pursue work that creates something out of nothing but our own experience in the universe. I'm particularly interested in the relationship between computing and our physical selves, and what we can learn from each to enhance and understand the other.
